STEP 1

Create your free account

Sign up in seconds with email or Google. No credit card required — you get 100 free credits to try everything.

  • Head to lehire.io and click "Try for free"
  • Sign up with email/password or Google OAuth
  • You're in! Your 7-day trial starts with 100 credits
  • Each credit = 1 AI action (upload, screen, or generate)

Pro tip: Your trial data persists if you upgrade, so nothing is lost.

STEP 2

Upload resumes to your Talent Pool

Drag and drop PDF resumes into Lehire. AI instantly extracts candidate details — name, skills, experience timeline, education — into a searchable talent pool.

  • Go to Dashboard > Talent Pool
  • Drag & drop up to 20 PDF resumes at once (50 on Starter, 100 on Pro)
  • AI parses each resume and extracts structured data
  • Candidates appear in your searchable talent pool immediately
  • Each resume upload costs 1 credit

Pro tip: Upload resumes once, then screen the same pool against multiple job descriptions without re-uploading.

STEP 3

Screen candidates against a job description

Paste or write a job description, select candidates from your talent pool, and let AI score every candidate 0–100 with detailed fit analysis.

  • Go to Dashboard > Talent Pool and select candidates to screen
  • Enter or paste the job description you're hiring for
  • Click "Screen" and results appear in ~30 seconds
  • Each candidate gets a 0-100 match score
  • View fit analysis, red flags, and tailored interview questions
  • Each candidate screened costs 1 credit

Pro tip: Be specific in your JD — include must-have skills, experience levels, and nice-to-haves for more accurate scoring.

STEP 4

Record interview evaluations

After screening, interview your top candidates and log structured feedback directly in Lehire. Rate each candidate across 5 competencies per interview round.

  • Open a candidate in Talent Pool and click "Add Evaluation"
  • Select the interview round (Screening, Technical, Culture, Final)
  • Rate 1-5 stars on: Technical, Communication, Problem Solving, Culture Fit, Role Fit
  • Set a round decision: Hire, Reject, Hold, or Next Round
  • Add strengths, concerns, and notes for context
  • Record multiple rounds per candidate as they progress

Pro tip: Interview evaluations are free — no credits consumed. Log as many rounds as you need.

STEP 5

Make final decisions & rerank

The Decision Engine combines AI screening scores with your interview evaluations into a single composite score, letting you make final hiring decisions and manually rerank candidates.

  • Go to Dashboard > Decisions and select a screening
  • See every candidate with a composite score (AI + interview blend)
  • Review fit reasons, red flags, interview ratings, and hiring memory in one view
  • Set a final verdict per candidate: Hire, Strong Consider, Waitlist, or Reject
  • Use Up/Down arrows to manually rerank candidates based on your judgment
  • Click "Move to Offered" on Hire candidates to update their pipeline status
  • Export your final ranked list as CSV

Pro tip: The composite score weights interviews at 60% and AI at 40% — your human judgment takes priority over the algorithm.

Generate JDs & outreach messages

Need a polished job description, a LinkedIn hiring post, or a personalized outreach message? Generate all three in one click.

  • Go to Dashboard > JD & Outreach
  • Enter the role title, skills, experience level, and company name
  • AI generates a complete JD, LinkedIn post, and outreach template
  • Edit and copy any output directly
  • Each generation costs 1 credit

Pro tip: Generated JDs make great inputs for screening — generate, then paste directly into the screener.

Your Talent Pool is the central database of all candidates you've uploaded. Each resume is parsed by AI to extract structured data.

What gets extracted:

  • Full name, email, phone number
  • Skills (structured list with proficiency)
  • Work experience timeline (company, role, duration)
  • Total years of experience (calculated)
  • Education details
  • Full resume text (for re-screening later)

Managing candidates:

  • Add tags and notes to any candidate
  • Track pipeline status (New → Screened → Shortlisted → Contacted → Offered → Hired)
  • Set rejection reasons when moving to rejected
  • Schedule call dates for interview follow-up
